Rawai beach hotels and accommodation, Phuket Thailand
Is
a favoured picnic spot for Thais who flock to the dozen of seafood
stalls sitting under the trees that shade this narrow but picturesque
beach. Accross the road are many Thai and european restaurants where
many of the residents like to spend their evenings or having diners.
The beach is not so great but the water is shallow and safe for
children and it is protected from the wind. There are many longtail
boats and speed boats anchored here that you can hire to make trips
to the nearby islands, like coral island, a 15 minutes ride by speedboat.
Not far on the road going back to Phuket is the Seashell Museum
if you are a collector, Rawai is also one of the few places where
you can buy shells.
